This was an inspiring series for us as artists. We were able to meet some amazing talents from across the country and also send a positive message about the meaning of community, and the importance of art in the culture of our communities.
Los Angeles artist UPENDO sees the raw reality of the city streets as a blank canvas for him to create and get inspired. Music is a big source of inspiration for his art, especially hip hop, as well as the sunset over the LA skyline. He draws beauty from his natural surroundings.
